Types of food allowed:
Jenny Craig prepackaged foods. You are required to eat the prepackaged food at every meal during the first half of your diet plan. Stage two implements a transition to 'real food'.

Advantages:
Prepackaged food takes the guesswork out of meal planning. They offer weekly support meetings. Program focuses on lifestyle changes with focus on meal planning, exercise, and managing stress.

Disadvantages:
Very expensive ($65/week for meals, $18/month for supplements, membership fees, and purchasing your own fruits and vegetables, can add up to $400 per month.) Packaged foods make it difficult to eat with others or dine out.

Health Issues:
This diet is basically nutritionally safe at higher calorie levels and when supplemented with vitamins and minerals.
